Meet the Philadelphia board

ASMP Philadelphia Chapter directors are elected by General Members and serve a two year term. Executive Officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Membership Chair) are nominated and elected by the board of directors every year. 

The board members of ASMP Philadelphia volunteer their time to provide the latest information in the photography industry for today’s working photographers in the Philadelphia area. The resources gathered by the board help build a valuable foundation that benefits the Philadelphia chapter and photographic community.

The board meets once a month to discuss chapter needs and to plan for upcoming events. Working together as a team is just as important as each director's individual role. The President leads board meetings, keeps the board on track with the chapter mission statement and supervises directors and committee chairs.  The Vice President works closely with the President and Executive Officers to oversee the general affairs of the chapter and typically succeeds the President.  The Secretary records the board meeting minutes and keeps the board organized.  The Treasurer balances chapter funds and consults with the board on expenditures and budget.  The Membership Chair guides prospective members through the application process and works on member recruitment and retention.

The Education Chair brings ideas to the table involving students and educating them about professionalism and business practices. The Social Media committee maintains the Facebook and Twitter accounts to keep members informed of upcoming events. The Sponsorship Chair works with local business partners and sponsors that support ASMP Philadelphia. The Programs Chair organizes business and photographic educational programs, lectures and social events.
